DCUE 0200 - Strong Start Orientation is a self-paced online course designed for new ÇïϼÂ×Àí students. It lives rightÌýinÌýyour  and it covers all the basics of how to get ready for your first semester here. Learn about all the new student essentialsÌýsuch as how to get your Student ID Card and where to get your textbooks. Discover the students services available to you including counselling and academic workshops. Plus, find out how you can contribute to the ÇïϼÂ×Àí community.

Strong Start Blackboard Course will be available in December for new students starting in Winter 2024.

Our orientation workshops set you up for success at ÇïϼÂ×Àí. These workshops are hosted on Zoom and/or in-person. Registration is required to attend.

International Students

A casual welcome to our first-semester international students! We will introduce you to our ÇïϼÂ×Àí International team and the services we can provide you to help you throughout your time at Douglas. We will also cover Canadian culture and tips for settling into your new home.

Through these sessions, Student Life will provide you your first look at life on campus, tell you about upcoming events, and provide you with information on college services to support you on your academic journey.
